13th Annual Healthcare
Supplier Diversity
Symposium

September 24-25, 2018

9300 Bryn Mawr Avenue,
Rosemont, IL 60018

On behalf of Owens & Minor, Inc., a global leader in healthcare services and supply chain management solutions, we would like to invite you to be a prominently featured sponsor of the 13th Annual Healthcare Supplier Diversity Symposium (HSDS). This event will be held on Thursday, September 24 – Friday, September 25 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Chicago, Illinois.

Each year, Owens & Minor hosts the HSDS to elevate the visibility of key topics affecting healthcare’s diverse supply chain and industry, and ultimately patients. The symposium features leaders from healthcare delivery systems, medical device and supply manufacturers, healthcare distributors, government, and academia with one unifying objective—to identify solutions that improve the quality of care while leveraging an economically sustainable model.

One of the symposium highlights is the Earl G. Reubel Awards Gala, during which advocates of healthcare supply chain diversity – providers, suppliers, and individuals – are recognized for being a positive catalyst of change. Our 2018 event will focus on the theme“Economic Inclusion: Be Intentional.” and what it means for you, your customers, and the world around us.

We currently have the following innovative speakers on the agenda to discuss Population Health, Public & Private Collaboration, Cooperative Competition, and Population Education:

  • P. Cody Phipps, President & CEO, Owens & Minor

Panel Session:

In an effort to serve the most vulnerable in our communities, healthcare administrators in many of our largest metropolitan areas – Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, New York – must consider the social determinants of health in serving a demographic whose health decisions and conditions are complicated by being economically challenged. Many providers in urban cities have developed a comprehensive approach to improving health outcomes from with the low socio-economic patients that promote preventative care, post treatment follow-up, yet also involves tangential matters such as housing concerns and employment opportunities. Panelist discuss lessons learned and best practices that they are modeling and share thoughts around what is needed from the supply chain in doing more.
