President, Global Products Strategic Business Unit, Owens & Minor
Chris Lowery, who joined Owens & Minor with the acquisition of Halyard Health’s Surgical & Infection Prevention business, is President of the Global Products Strategic Business Unit (SBU) of Owens & Minor. The transaction closed early in the second quarter of 2018. Chris is responsible for leading worldwide sales and marketing, research and development, quality assurance, regulatory, and clinical affairs for the business unit. As Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Halyard Health’s Surgical & Infection Prevention business, Chris was responsible for the same worldwide functions. Prior to joining Halyard Health, Chris served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Kimberly-Clark Health Care, where he was responsible for strategic direction, as well as sales and marketing execution globally. In this role, Chris led both the medical device and surgical and infection prevention segments of the health care business. Chris joined Kimberly-Clark Health Care as Vice President of Medical Devices in 2010. Prior to joining Kimberly-Clark Health Care, Chris held several senior marketing and sales roles at Covidien, a global health care products company. He has more than 18 years of experience in the medical device and supply industry. Chris graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering. He subsequently served six years in various roles as a nuclear submarine officer. Chris and his family live in Milton, Georgia.
