Lowry is a nationally recognized workforce and supplier diversity pioneer. He shares his 30+ years of experience in his new book, Minority Business Success: Refocusing on the American Dream, co-authored with Leonard Greenhalgh of Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College for Stanford University Press. Lowry has authored several papers over the course of his career including studies on Capital Formation and Best Practices on Emerging Manager Programs for the National Association of Investment Companies (NAIC); and a major report for BCG entitled, “Implementing the New Agenda for Minority Business Development,” sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation, in conjunction with the Billion Dollar Roundtable. Lowry has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Minority Supplier Development Council. He is an inaugural class member of the Minority Business Enterprise Hall of Fame and holds an honorary Doctorate of Law degree from his alma mater, Grinnell College. In addition to running his own private consulting group, Lowry contributes to The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as Senior Advisor. In his previous role as BCG’s Senior Vice President and Global Diversity Director, Lowry led the BCG’s workforce diversity, ethnic marketing and minority business development consulting practice.
