The Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities works with schools, business, and communities to achieve success through inclusion. Jonathan Zur develops and oversees all programming which covers curriculum design, client recruitment, facilitator training, logistics coordination, program delivery, and assessment. Under his leadership, VCIC increased the number of programs delivered annually by over 600%, resulting in the number of annual program participants increasing from 3,500 to 20,800. The organization has been recognized locally and nationally for its effectiveness. An experienced facilitator and consultant on issues of diversity and inclusion, Zur was a speaker at the inaugural White House Summit on Diversity and Inclusion in Government in November 2016. Additionally, his program work with VCIC is noted in the book “No COLORS: 100 Ways to Stop Gangs from Taking Away Our Communities” as “the best…in the nation for sowing the seeds of non-violence, inclusiveness and understanding in a high school.” Zur holds a BA from University of Richmond and a Certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership from the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University.
